The Dirty Pearl aka Maypearl

I enjoy living in Maypearl.... I really do!! But there are a few things I miss.... I miss being close to my friends and family in town like Burleson, Crowley, Fort Worth, etc. It takes me about 35-45 mins to get to them, but well worth it. Plus the occasional visit to Frescos (Which has got to be my favorite restaurant) I told Brandon we should open up a Frescos in Waxahachie! I don't know what it is about Frescos, but if Brandon ever asks me what I want for dinner, I want FRESCOS!!! And just got some exciting news from my best friend Devin. She will be working their in a few weeks, which means FREE FOOD?!? Okay maybe not free, but the hook up? Lol. Another thing I don't care about living in Maypearl is... NO wireless Internet service reaches us. That means we can't use our wireless printer or our wireless Netflix we have on our Blue Ray surround sound player we got. Oh one more thing..... not very many food choices to choose from at night for dinner. You know how some nights you don't want to cook and just want to grab something to take home. Well..... pizza is only good every once in a while. Even though Hometown Pizza is good. And there is the Busy Bee. Our friends own the Bee and they have good food, but it's all fried. Guess now I'm not really worrying about my figure the Bee will be okay. Why is this blog mostly about food you ask??? Well I love food! In fact, I am going to go eat lunch right now!

Other then these few flaws about living in Maypearl..... I love the Dirty Pearl.

My First Blog Post!!!

This past year has been a very "eventful" year. I found out that one of my very good friends since the 1st grade would soon become my husband. It is crazy how things work out in life.... how knowing each other for 20 years and then deciding to date and get married and live happily ever after! Well in my book that is how the story is told. Brandon Jim Wilson is my very best friend and now my Husband. We got married November 21, 2009. The wedding was really stressful for me because I planned everything (but thats how I wanted it) I mean I planned ever second of it with the help of great friends and family of course! But it turned out to be the wedding I had imagined in my head. Walking down the isle looking at my handsome man has got to been the "freeze frame moment" I never expected. I will never forget that moment, how I felt, what he looked like, my heart pounding. It was the greatest moment in my life....... so far.

So...... it is now February 2nd and Brandon and I found out some great news..... I am pregnant! We were really iffy on spreading the news before we went to our first appointment to hear the heartbeat, but honestly we are so excited and have faith that everything will work out.

I have my appointment one week from today! Please keep us in your prayers that everything is okay. We can NOT wait to be parents!

Everyone keeps asking what do we want, a boy or a girl? Of course our answer is both.... JK.... we want a healthy baby boy OR girl! But..... I have a huge feeling it is going to be a boy. I think Brandon wants a boy first so he can protect his little sister. So if we have to have 5 kids to get a little sister we will.... wait.... lets see how the first one turns out! LOL!
